Description:  Financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39.
 
Futurpreneur Canada Newcomer Program
Description:  Are you a newcomer to Canada between the ages of 18 and 35, with a limited credit history? If so, you could apply for a $7,500 repayable loan to start a business.
This amount could be matched with a repayable loan from the BDC for a potential total of $15,000. If you are between the ages of 35 and 39, your application will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Description:  REACH (Resources for Evaluating, Adopting and Capitalizing on Innovative Healthcare Technology) is a matching grant funding program designed to help Ontario healthcare providers apply new methods to procure and more rapidly adopt innovative medical technologies that can address high priority health system needs.
 
SmartStart Seed Fund
Description:  Open to young entrepreneurs from the ages of 18 to 29 and entrepreneurs from the age of 30+, the program provides both seed financing and financing for entrepreneurship skills training to help recipients grow their start-up.

Description:  Professional mentoring to start and expand a business in Ontario - open to Ontario residents, 18-29, not attending school full time.

Description:  The Canadian Technology Accelerator initiative helps Canadian companies with an existing technology, product or service explore opportunities in foreign markets.
 
CDMN Soft Landing Program
Description:  Funding for mature startups and SMEs to enter into new markets, close international sales, or connect with new partners. The program connects businesses to local incubators to help fund international business activities.

Description:  The Conservation Fund provides financial support to new and innovative electricity conservation initiatives designed to enable Ontario's residents, businesses and institutions to cost-effectively reduce their demand for electricity.
 
Going Global Innovation
Description:  Going Global Innovation (GGI) is specifically designed to promote and enhance Canada's international innovation efforts. The program supports Canadian researchers who aim to commercialize technologies by pursuing collaborative international research and development (R&D) opportunities through partnerships with key players in foreign markets.
 
Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) - National Research Council Canada
Description:  Technical advisory services, networking and financial assistance to SMEs.
 
Investments in Forest Industry Transformation
Description:  The initial four-year $100-million initiative supported forest industry transformation by accelerating the deployment of highly innovative, first-in-kind technologies at Canadian forest industry facilities. These projects included bioenergy, biomaterials, biochemicals and next-generation building products.
 
Market Readiness
Description:  Through its Market Readiness (MR) Investment Program, Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) invests directly in companies to further their early-stage commercialization and support their growth into a scalable business. The program supports companies in both the Customer Creation (CC) and Company Building (CB) stages of the Customer Development Model, as defined by Lean Start-up principles. The OCE investment de-risks other investment opportunities and helps the company attract the private investment and other funding it needs to grow.
 
Matching Investment Fund
Description:  You could get up to $150,000 to create new or improved products made from milk. Up to $25,000 can be used for consultation services, while remaining funds must be applied towards product development. To qualify, you need to: Make foods, drinks or other products using milk, Provide 50% of the costs, or Create a product that increases the use of milk. Small businesses (fewer than 25 employees) are eligible for a reimbursement of up to 100% of eligible costs for the first $10,000 spent on a project.Other conditions apply.

Description:  Covers three key areas: Industry-Academic R and D Collaboration; Commercialization; and Entrepreneurship. Other key OCE initiatives are the IBM Smart Computing Initiative and Colleges Ontario Network for Industry Innovation (CONII).

Description:  If you are a newly established corporation in certain sectors, you could be eligible for a refund of the corporate income tax and corporate minimum tax your business paid in its first 10 taxation years.

Description:  The VIP program helps eligible Ontario companies develop, implement and commercialize technical innovations by supporting industry-academic collaborations. Description:  Through the Convergent Stream, the CMF supports the creation of convergent television and digital media content for consumption by Canadians anytime, anywhere. The convergent stream is made up of various programs and incentives that target key activities.

Description:  The Experimental Stream seeks to support Canadian interactive digital media content and application software that is innovative and leading edge. Eligible Projects may apply for Development, Production, or Marketing & Promotion support and are evaluated.

Description:  If your business operates in the English sound recording industry in Canada, you could qualify for funding to support various business activities.
 
Film Fund - Ontario Media Development Fund
Description:  Ontario Creates Film Fund is intended to increase the level of domestic feature film production in Ontario. It provides support to Ontario producers for feature film projects with development and production financing.
 
Film or Video Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC)
Description:  Tax credit designed to enhance Canada as a location of choice for film and video productions employing Canadians, as well as to strengthen the industry and secure investment.
 
IDM Fund: Global Market Development
Description:  The Global Market Development program provides eligible Ontario companies with funding to participate in international activities that support company growth and produce measurable business and market development results. Primary activities supported include targeted sales trips and attendance at international market events.
 
IDM Fund: Industry Development
Description:  Ontario Media Development Corporation provides support to Ontario’s cultural entrepreneurs by partnering with established trade and event organizations to offer initiatives, events and activities that stimulate the growth of the cultural media industries. These initiatives must promote the potential for measurable commercial transactions or other business-focused opportunities for Ontario companies that create and sell content in the book, film, interactive digital media, magazine, or television industries, and any combination of these industries.
 
IDM Fund: Marketing Support
Description:  Production - support for the creation of a market-ready content project that will be released to end users. Concept Definition - support for early-stage activities that will assist the applicant company in moving towards the production of a market-ready content project.

Description:  Film and Television provides eligible Ontario producers with funding to pursue strategic export development activities that support company growth and produce measurable business development results. Interactive Digitial Media Fund (IDM) - Ontario Media Development Corporation
Description:  The Marketing and Distribution Initiative (MDI) is intended to assist producers of Ontario Creates Film Fund supported projects to make a meaningful contribution to the domestic marketing and distribution of their projects leading up to and during their release. Available during fiscal 2019-20, this time-limited initiative is intended to support strategies and tactics that are an extension of traditional marketing and distribution activities. The MDI encourages innovative strategies that can work independently and/or in conjunction with pre-existing distribution strategies.
 
Ontario Book Publishing Tax Credit (OBPTC)
Description:  Tax credit for Ontario publishing companies to publish and promote works by a Canadian author.
 
Ontario Computer Animation and Special Effects Tax Credit (OCASE)
Description:  Ontario tax credits for computer animation and special effect activities in film or TV productions.

Feed-in Tariff Program - Ontario Power Authority
Description:  Procurement program that guarantees specific prices for various forms of renewable electricity production sources, including on-shore wind, hydroelectric, solar, biogas, biomass and landfill gas.

College and Institutes Canada Clean Tech Internship
Description:  If your business is in the science, technology, engineering or mathematics fields, you may be eligible to hire an intern for a new environmental position or project. The program offers: A) A wage subsidy up to $12,000, B) Pre-approved, skilled graduates. Other conditions apply.

Description:  Concierge Service is the place where Canadian SMEs (Small or Medium-sized Enterprises) can find information and guidance to access government programs and resources in support of business innovation.

Description:  For a small investment, companies can leverage their research dollars and in house capabilities and gain access to a dedicated graduate intern who is guided by their academic supervisor. Cooperative Education Tax Credit (CETC)
Description:  A refundable tax credit available to employers who hire students enrolled in a co-operative education program at an Ontario university or college. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) administers the program on behalf of Ontario through the federal income tax.
 
Employer Signing Bonus - Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
Description:   A monetary bonus for an employer who hires and registers an apprenticeship scholarship candidate as an apprentice.
 
Environmental Youth Corps Internship Program
Description:  Thinking of hiring a graduate for a position related to the environment? A wage subsidy may be available.

Description:  The Skills Link program is a component of the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy (YES). Through funding of organizations, the Skills Link program helps youth overcome barriers to employment, develop a broad range of skills and knowledge in order to participate in the current and future labour market and to promote education and skills as being key to labour market participation. These barriers include, but are not limited to, challenges faced by recent immigrant youth, youth with disabilities, single parent youth, youth who have not completed high school, Indigenous youth, and youth living in rural or remote areas.

Description:  Bioenterprise is participating in a program funded by the Government of Canada to provide non-repayable seed financing, coaching and mentorship to assist start-ups and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agriculture and agri-food sectors, as well as sustainable and environmental technologies, to grow through generation of revenue and attraction of follow-on private investment over the next 4 years.
Bio enterprise's program partner Innovation Guelph will deliver this program as the Fuel Injection Program to advanced manufacturing and social innovation industry sectors.
 Bioenterprise Seed Funding is a matching program that provides eligible enterprises with:
1. $30,000 in seed funding (to be matched by recipient enterprise)

Description:  The Connect to Innovate program will invest $500 million by 2021, to bring high-speed Internet to rural and remote communities in Canada. Up to $25,000 can be used for consultation services, while remaining funds must be applied towards product development.
